This Privacy Policy explains how Localink (the "App"), provided by WeMaker ApS (CVR 42325635) ("we", "us"), handles data when you install and use the App on your Shopify store. By installing the App, you agree to this policy.

2. What the App does

Localink helps multilingual Shopify Markets stores keep their internal links and URL redirects working across languages — by creating redirects for discontinued products, fixing broken internal links in translated content, and detecting 404s on the storefront.

3. Data we access and process

To provide its features, the App accesses the following store data through Shopify's official APIs, using the permissions you grant at installation:

• Products and collections (titles, handles, status) — to build redirects and resolve links.
• URL redirects and online store navigation — to create, edit and list redirects.
• Translations and locales — to find and fix localized handles per language.
• Online store content (themes, articles, pages) — to scan for broken internal links.
• Markets and shop configuration — to determine your languages and storefront domains.
• Storefront 404 paths — the dead URLs visitors hit, reported by the optional theme tracker.

4. Data we store

The App stores: a secure connection token for your shop (shop domain + access token and related session data), and the list of storefront 404 paths with hit counts (no personal data). This is stored in our database to keep the App authenticated and to power the 404 feature.

5. Customer personal data

Localink does not collect, request, or store personal data about your customers. The App does not access customer records, orders, or personally identifiable information.

6. Sub-processors and hosting

We use the following providers to run the App. Both process data within the European Union (Frankfurt region):

• Render — application hosting.
• Neon — managed PostgreSQL database (stores the data described in section 4).

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, the associated session data is deleted. We also honour Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:

• customers/data_request and customers/redact — acknowledged; we hold no customer data to return or erase.
• shop/redact — we delete your shop's stored data (sent ~48 hours after uninstall).

8. Your rights

As a merchant and data controller for your store, you may contact us at any time to ask what data we hold, or to request deletion, by emailing info@wemaker.dk. Uninstalling the App also removes our access and triggers deletion of your data.

9. Security

Connections to Shopify and to our database use encryption in transit. Access tokens are stored in a managed database and used only to make authenticated requests to your store on your behalf.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
